About Us

Marc and I have been married since October 14, 2005. We dated 4 years before taking the plunge! On December 14, 2007 we were blessed with our little girl Abigail (Abby). She weighed a healthy 8lbs 15ounces. She came a week before her due date. (I was induced) She is a sassy 4 year old and always keeps us laughing. On September 9, 2011 our sweet baby boy, Matthew, arrived weighing an even healthier 9 lbs 6 oz. We also have a dog (Layla) and a cat (Sissy). We moved into a new home in North Phoenix in May of 2007. It was so fun to watch the progress of it being built. Hard to believe we have already lived here 4 years. We are still changing paint colors on the walls! The picture above is from our trip to Kauai in 2006 for our one year wedding anniversary. Can't wait to go back again someday when the kiddos are a little older! I started this fun little blog so friends and family can stay updated on what is going on with us (since I am so horrible about making phone calls and sending e-mails). Hope you enjoy!

First Trip to the Zoo

I took Abby to the Zoo for the first time a couple weeks ago before it got too hot. We met my sister and her kids there. We didn't get a chance to see all that much because I only had a couple hours before Abby needed to be home for a nap and she is still a little too young to really enjoy it. She did enjoy the petting zoo though. Although we had a minor incident when one of her little goat friends peed and she bent right over and stuck both hands in it! Ewwww! Anyway, here are a few pics from our time at the zoo.

Parker Charles Henderson

One of my very best friends, Jen Henderson, got the best Mother's Day presents ever....a beautiful and healthy baby boy. Jen was very lucky and had a quick delivery with no complications. Parker weighed in at 8 lbs 14.9 oz and was 21.5 inches long. (Funny because this was Abby's EXACT weight and height) I was lucky enough to be able to visit the new baby at the hospital today. It brought back a lot of memories since she delivered at the same hospital I did. I have to admit that I have a slight case of baby fever now. Is it really possible that I have forgotten how hard the first year was already? Anyway, I am so excited for Jen and Tim and look forward to seeing Parker grow up. Here are a few pictures of the little guy...

Splash Pad Fun

I took Abby to a splash pad a couple times this week. She LOVES the water. She had no hesitation at all and went right to the water. We will probably be doing a lot of water play this summer as it is too stinkin' hot to do anything else! Good thing she likes it.

Abby found this tractor when we got there and had a great time pushing it around.

Holy Moly...Look at those chubby legs!

Abby wanted to do what the big kids were doing and she kept following them around. It was cute. Here is a little glimpse in the video....

HOA Party

Our HOA had a big block party last weekend. We took Abby down to have some fun. They had music, pizza, drinks, snow cones and lots of fun stuff for the kids. Abby was still a little too young to enjoy some of the stuff like the bounce house and face painting. She had a great time just running around in the grass though. She also enjoyed her first snow cone. I am so sad that it is so hot already and we won't be able to get outside as much :(
